Fees
Unlike a traditional High Street tax practitioner we do not charge on a time basis but on a fixed fee for the year. This provides peace of mind as clients know that they are not likely to be saddled with a huge bill if for example they have a tax investigation or there is protracted correspondence over a matter. There is a fee structure that varies depending on the complexity of the Tax Return but typically most clergy clients pay less than £10.00 per month. There is also a reduced fee for fully retired clergy and for certain spouses. We shall be pleased to quote for non clergy and you will find our rates very reasonable.
There may be an extra charge for the more complex issues involving Capital Gains tax or small business accounts.
Our fee includes the checking of any tax coding notices, tax calculations, and statements of account that may be issued throughout the year. If you have any worries you know that someone is always available by telephone and that you are not increasing your bill every time you call.
We offer a variety of payment methods including all major credit cards. Recognising that many clergy families live on relatively low incomes we also offer payment by direct debit to help spread the cost of our fee.
For new clients we will carry out a review of the last Tax Return that was completed making recommendations if we feel it would be wise to submit an amendment. There is no charge for this service.
In addition to acting for Ministers of Religion we offer other services that may be of interest to clergy and non clergy alike.

I have used Tax Management for Clergy since the service began. I have been more than satisfied with their services and have introduced several colleagues, from Bishops through to clergy colleagues and friends, to assistant clergy who have joined me in my role as a training incumbent and their colleagues entering ordained ministry. I also make use of the link with Independent Financial Management for Clergy, offering independent and from my experience financially sound advice. I have no hesitation in commending this friendly, usable and obliging quality service to all who might need to seek tax or financial service relating to clergy appointments.
